He is the man whose whole life is revolving around the independence of our country India. But apart from independence he has given us life Long lessons or teachings which have inspired the whole world from generations of people.

5 Life lessons to learn from Mahatma Gandhi

1. Always Speak the Truth

There are lots of circumstances in our life when we have to choose between truth or lie. And we choose white lie or lying by omission and think that it will solve our problems immediately but a high price might have to pay for this. But it is true that one lie can also lead us to danger. That’s why mahatma Gandhi says that no matter what the situation is, one must speak truth and stand for truth

2. Live Life to the Fullest

” life must be full of qualitative things not only quantity”

In our generation,  we believe in things happening at a fast pace. People are only thinking about surviving and they forget how to live. Mahatma Gandhi says live life to fullest.

Make your day so productive that you can’t regret that you’ve wasted your time.

Instead of rushing everyday, you must spend your time on the things which give you happiness and joy.

3. Think Before You Act

We have learnt in science that each reaction has an equal and opposite reaction.

How you act today will impact your Tomorrow Mahatma Gandhi teaches us that you can blame someone for your mistake. You must be responsible for your mistake. At the end you are one who has to pay. The future of you totally depends on how your reaction is today on the same thing. Even a tiny decision or simple act of yours can affect your future and you have to bear the consequences. Thus acting late can be fine but acting wrong is not.

4. Learn to Forgive

There is one statement that “An eye for an eye will only make the whole world blind”.

We commit lots of mistakes in our daily life. People around us, friends, family, colleagues, juniors, seniors commit mistakes.  It is common to make mistakes by everyone but forgiving someone for the mistake is the quality you must have. When a person is wrong, it is obvious that they want to retaliate . But understanding what is right or wrong is important.  Even Mahatma Gandhi ji has suffered a lot under British rule but he chose the path of non violence instead of taking arms against them. And in the end we all know who wins.

5. Be Positive

One statement can clear this fact ” the thoughts of a human being are the products which make him what he thinks.

A positive approach towards your life is a must. It is the key to success. And it will help you to achieve your goals. There are many times when you are hopeless,  demotivated but you have to think why you started and restart with full of positivity.

Conclusion

Gandhi ji has given us lots of life lessons and these are some of them. By applying these life lessons in our life. We can achieve our goals easily and live a happy and productive life.
