DU Admissions 2020: The admissions to Delhi University have been delayed due to the CoronaVirus Pandemic, during normal days the DU admissions would start every year in the first week of June but this year the dates have been changed. The admission process, eligibility, and other things also have been changed. Things need to be taken care of during this pandemic as students and staff life cannot be risked.
This year the admission process would be a little late this year and as per looking into the current situation the UGC Exam & Admissions Guidelines 2020 during COVID19. The admission process of DU has been started and the applicants have to apply before 4 July at du.ac.in
The University has made a lot of changes this year, to ensure social- distancing and other safety norms during the admission process or safety purposes of staff and students. The admission process this year will totally be online and keeping this into notice no offline applications will be accepted this year.

What would be the exact Procedure and Changes?
As of now the results of every 12th class student have not been released so all the students can resubmit details as the university will open the portal again to update the 12th results and mark sheet are declared.
“All applicants who want to take admission in Delhi University must register through the University of Delhi online admissions portal https://ug.du.ac.in. There is no offline admission for any applicant,” DU said in a statement because the safety of everyone comes first and health cannot be put at risk.
Suman Kumar a member of the DU Admission branch said that We do not want students to come to Delhi from their respective places especially and face serious problems. Everything will stay safe for admissions just like last year but it will be conducted online.
Looking into the serious conditions and increase in cases Kumar announced that there will not be any extra co-curricular activity except for NCC and NSS and rest everything will be calculated on the basis of performance.
The trials for sports and extra co-curricular activities will not be held this year and the ECA NCC sports together are marked for 5% supernumerary seats across the university. All these measures have been taken to ensure proper safety so that there would be no crowd and fewer people on the campus during this pandemic.
