After marking a prodigious victory against BJP in three states congress president Rahul Gandhi has completely changed the scenario of Indian Politics. The whole nation is stunned by this great victory as Congress is lagging since 2014. National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah said Rahul Gandhi is no longer a “Pappu” after witnessing the results of 3 states. While speaking on an event in West Bengal, he questioned the need of Rath Yatra in West Bengal and pondered whether the BJP wants to project itself as a redeemer of Hindus.
Farooq also took a dig on several government institutions like Reserve Bank of India saying this government is polluting institutions like RBI. He also accused the government of dividing the country into religious lines by saying “It is wrong the way they are trying to divide the nation on the basis of religion. The way there has been interference in Muslim religion and its practices is unfortunate.”
Farooq on Kashmir issue
He also talked about the issues that Kashmir is facing according to Mr Abdullah, the army and the CRPF is not the solution for the problems of the Kashmir. If the cross-border terrorism from Pakistan is not stopped, there will not be any progress in any bilateral relations. There are a lot of new issues are emerging including the issue of Afghanistan. The relationship between India and Pakistan turned to be normal, then it will be easy to solve the problems of Afghanistan. Farooq Abdullah Said “Just because Pakistan doesn’t stop cross-border terrorism, Muslims in India are getting affected. The tragedy of terrorism is every Muslim is suspected to be terrorists. All Muslims are not terrorists; Indian Muslims don’t support Pakistanis,”.
Farooq on Kartarpur Border
This leader of National Conference also appreciated the opening of the Kartarpur corridor. Prime Minister Imran Khan laid the foundation stone for the Kartarpur border corridor. This place is known as the final resting place for Sikhism founder Guru Nanak Dev. Mr Abdullah also condemned the decision of centre to allow ten agencies to intercept any information on the computer. He said”Whatever is happening in the country is very wrong. The central government’s move (of authorising ten central agencies to snoop on any computer) is also very wrong.”The country is heading towards a wrong direction. This is the reason I have come to meet my sister (Mamata Banerjee). I hope she can create a force that will save the country from what it is currently going through,”.
Congress has started its groundwork for 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
