IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria launched a promotional video ahead of the Indian Air Force Day that is on October 8. The video released featured clips of the fighting jets taking off, radar zooming and also dropping missiles onto the targets. It also features instances from the Air Strikes conducted by Indian Air Force on the Balakot soil.
During the release event, Air Chief Marshal Bhaduria made it clear that the scenes are not actually for that time, but just depicts the story of those strikes. On February 26th, Mirage-2000 fighter of Indian Air Force launched an Air strike targeting the budding grounds of terrorists. The attack was conducted on the camps of terror outfit- Jaish-e-Mohammad in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The attack was in retaliation of the IED blast on the moving convoy of the CRPF in Pulwama. The responsibility of this attack was taken by Jaish-e-Mohammad. The attack was criticized around the globe and pressures were made on Pakistan to take actions against the group operating from their soil. After Pakistan failed to take satisfactory actions, the Indian Air Force stepped up and planned the attack.
The video also shows the dogfight on the following day between Indian and Pakistani fighter jets. The Indian’s MiG-21 Bison and the Pakistan’s F-16.
