Atal Bihari Vajpayee: A True Legend

A path breaking person, a calm and steady leader, an effective poet and personality to be appreciated ever… These words are not enough to describe his whole personality and lifestyle. He was the man of his words. He can be proudly be concluded as ‘ones in a lifetime’ person. We are talking about none other than Atal Bihari Vajpayee who left us all at the age of 93 on 16th of August 2018. He was considered as the person with no enemies, his nature attracted everyone.

All about Atal Bihari Vajpayee

Atal Bihari Vajpayee was born on 25th December 1924 in Gwalior. His mother was a house wife and his father was a school teacher. He gained his early knowledge from saraswati shishu Mandir and did his college from laxmi Nai College.

Life History

By the age of 16 he became a active member and participated in many social works. He worked for RSS. But RSS didn’t function in 1948 in case of Gandhi’s assassination. Identically he moved in working with bhatiya Jana sangh that was newly formed at that time.

By 1968 he became the president of Jana sangh after the death of deendayal upadhyaya. He led the sangh positively

In 1975 ,when Indira Gandhi was the Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari and other opposition leaders were arrested due to internal emergency. In the long run this brought a rage in the nation.

Formation of BJP

In 1980, Atal Bihari tried combining many Bhartiya Jana sangh and formed bhartiya janta party (BJP) and he became the first president of this party. After this the bhartiya janta party excelled in the field, and played an important role in the growth of the party.

In May 1996, bhartiya janta party won the parliamentary elections and the president of bjp at that time L. K.  Advani said that Vajpayee will become the Prime Minister of India.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee became the Prime Minister of India in 1996 and extended this period to 2004 serving as the Prime Minister.

A noble Prime Minister

In the first place in 1996 he became the 10th Prime Minister of India but resigned after 13 days because of the lack of the support to obtain the majority to form the government.

In 1998 general elections, BJP again won the lead and blog of political parties merged with BJP to form the government and Vajpayee again became the Prime Minister. But after the working period of 13 months this government felt apart as nothing was in place.  The one of the party took its support back. Not to mention this created confusion and agony.

Again in the year 1999, general elections held.  This time bjp won 303 seats out of 543 seats and formed the government for the third time. Atal Bihari Vajpayee became the Prime Minister for the third time as well. In addition he served for proper 5 years of working span as the Prime Minister. He went through many hard times in his work span.

Atal Ji helped a lot during the war going in the country, the kargil war. He was awarded by Padma vibhushan in 1992. This man of substance also got the most prominent award of the country, Bharat Rayna in 2005 for his achievements and dedicated work.

His personal life was a calm place to dwell

He was a great poet and his poetry was very famous. Equally important are his speeches and sayings. He wrote about the victory, his feelings. All in all his poems are inspiring people all around the world and are in fact a true lesson for life. In the light of his contributions we all need to be like him. By the same token of love that he gave to us we shall make ths world a better place to live.
