Bloody Hell! Kangna’s bluff brought ‘Rangoon’ to court

The court hearing on February 20 will decide the future of movie Rangoon.

A case of copyright violation has been registered on film producer Sajid Nadiadwala and Director Vishal Bhardwaj by Wadia Movietone just before the release of their upcoming Rangoon movie.

It might impact the initial movie release date of February 24 and picture will be clear after the court hearing on February 20. Rangoon movie story is about character Miss Julia which is played by actress Kangna Ranaut, is inspired from the 50’s popular actress Nadia. The latest movie of Shahid Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, and Kangna Ranaut trapped into the legal controversy of the copyright issue with Wadia Movietone.

It’s not new for Vishal Bhardwaj to face controversies before the movie releases. Earlier Vishal Bhardwaj Haider also gone through similar issues.

Recently when media asked Kangna about her role in the movie Rangoon. She admitted indirectly that her role in the movie is coincidentally inspired from the Nadia.

This overstatement of Kangana has increased the trouble on the movie release.

According to owners of Wadia Movietone, Homi H Wadia company has proposed to UTV for making a biopic movie on fearless Nadia but deal not succeed. Later the movie was announced in the Name of Julia. But shooting stopped due to the interference of Wadia Movietone.

After the release of Rangoon, Movie Trailer Wadia Movietone raised objection on the character of Miss Julia used in the film. They’ve decided to appeal to High Court and the hearing is scheduled on February 20.

If the decision goes into the favor of Wadia Movietone the release of Rangoon may be postponed.
