CAA & NRC Protest in Capital- Delhi Police has identified 12 flashpoints in the capital because of the protest going on ‘against and for’ the Citizenship Amendment Act and National Register of Citizens.

These demonstrations started at 8 in the morning and it is expected that it will continue till night.

Congress Party’s MLA from Assam, Rupjyoti Kumar is on fast at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar from 8 am and police expect a congregation of around 100 people.

Jamia Millia Islamia students are also following their voice which is led by Zuber Ahmed at 10 am at the varsity gate number 7 and attempts made to move towards Red Fort. In the crowd, there were 1,000 protestors.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will chair a meeting to review the situation of security in the nation, as there is an amid violent protests against the CAA & NRC Protest in Capital.

Section-144 is imposed in North-East District, Red Fort, and some parts of New Delhi. There are rumors that it is imposed throughout Delhi, It is False. Section-144 is imposed only in some small parts of the city.

All entry and exit gates of Chandni Chowk, Barakhamba, Mandi House, Pragati Maidan, Lal Quila, Jama Masjid, Delhi Gate, ITO, Janpath, Khan Market, Vasant Vihar and open.

Traffic alert for the People is that Road No. 13A between Mathura Road and Kalindi Kunj is closed for traffic movement. People coming from Noida are advised to take DND or Akshardham to reach Delhi, due CAA & NRC Protest in Capital.

Only Two protests in the national capital, one by students and activists and the other by Left parties, have been denied permission by the police. The two marches were to meet at Shaheen Park near ITO.

Mobile internet services have been shut down in some parts of Delhi. According to reports, telecom operators like Airtel and Vodafone have shut down voice, Internet, and SMS services, though it has not been specified which parts of the city.
