UGC NET 2018 Admit Cards

The admit cards for the UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) have been released by the Central Board of Central Education. All candidates who have applied for the UGC NET entrance exam can now download their respective admit cards from the official website of CBSE at www.cbsenet.nic.in.

Steps to download the UGC NET 2018 admit card

1. Go to www.cbsenet.nic.in
2. Click on the link to download admit card
3. Once the link is clicked on, a new page will open
4. Enter the details on the new page and click Submit
5. Download the admit card
Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) is conducting the upcoming National Eligibility Test (NET) on behalf of UGC. The test is scheduled on the 8th July 2018. It is conducted for the eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor or for the position of Junior Research Fellowship along with eligibility for Assistant Professor. The test is valid across the universities and colleges across India. The test will be conducted in 84 subjects across 91 selected NET Examination Cities all across the country.

Process for UGC NET 2018 Examination

Qualified candidates are eligible for the post of assistant professor across the different colleges and universities or are open to pursuing a research on the subject of their post graduation or in a related subject. Universities and notable institutes like the IITs select JRF awardees for conducting a full time research under any professors from their universities according to their prescribed procedures. The eligibility for the post of assistant professor or eligibility for both the post and JRF is based on the performance of the candidate on all the three papers of the NET exam. Those candidates qualified only for the post of Assistant Professors will not be eligible for the research as JRF.

The UGC NET is one of the most sought after entrance examinations in the country. It is conducted every year and is one of the toughest examinations to crack. The competition in the examination is extremely high owing to the thousands of applicants for a few hundred seats. The upper age limit has been increased to 30 years from 28.

It is to be noted that the role of CBSE is only up to the extent of conducting the NET examination and declaration of its result.
