It has been Diwali this weekend, and there have been a lot of glitters and sparkles apart from the crackers and fairy lights that we have put on. Bollywood stars have hosted a lot of Diwali parties, and several of them have been thoroughly enjoying the parties. Diwali is known to be the festival of lights, the time when Lord Rama returned to the city capital, after his long exile in the forests. From there comes the popular saying as “May the lights guide you home”.
What happened in the lives of Mira and Shahid this Diwali:
This Diwali, something strange happened. Usually, the thought of spending Diwali with someone special makes us happy. It is undeniable that Mira and Shahid are extremely in love with each other, and this couple seemed too excited for Diwali – but it turns out that the netizens aren’t happy about it. Shahid and Mira decided to show affection for each other on the public forum – they used Instagram as the vehicle to post a Diwali picture, which unlike other celebrities wasn’t a selfie with the Diya, or the fairy lights, but was an intimate cute kiss between the couples.
Of course, the netizens didn’t understand the cute gesture, and they began to criticize the couple, throwing out mean comments at them. They went to the extent of policing them and even made rude statements. People were surprised that they weren’t respecting the culture of Hinduism, and were, on the other hand, vandalizing the very spirituality that lies behind Hinduism, and the significance of the festival of lights. Some even went ahead and called them attention seekers.

Shahid had married Mira, who was a Delhi based girl, back in 2015. Of course, the marriage shattered millions of hearts, but soon Mira was welcomed to the industry. Mira wasn’t a star when she was married to Shahid, but her popularity soon grew out of bounds. There couldn’t be anything better if their photos pop up every now and then, and this time, it was a kiss on the lips that suddenly took social media by the storm. The couple was also spotted at Shah Rukh Khan’s Diwali bash – and they definitely stole the show.
Of course, there were other photos, Shahid and his daughter in his arms, Shahid and his wife, in an embrace, and the photos are eccentric and happy. He even captioned them as “Hope you spent your Diwali with those who mattered the most” – which shows how much the actor loves his family. The couple seemed to have a great time with Daadi, dewar and their kids Misha and Zain. Strictly a family affair, it was a beautiful photo upload. The netizens need to keep cool – after all, its only Diwali!
