The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has developed an automatic and contactless ‘ultraviolet sanitization cabinet’ for sanitizing electronic gadgets, notes, and paper. DRDO has taken this step at a time when the country is trying to get rid of Covid-19.
The Defense Research Ultraviolet Sanitizer (DRUVS) system puts 360-degree ultraviolet rays (ultraviolet rays) on items placed in cabinets. Once sanitized (infection-free), the system automatically shuts down, so the operator does not have to wait or stand near the equipment.
The Ministry said that it has been developed by DRDO’s Research Center building (RCI) and it works without coming in contact which is very important for the spread of this virus. The ministry said that DRUVS has been designed to make mobile phones, iPods, laptops, notes, checks, invoices, passbooks, papers, envelopes, etc. free of infection.
