India’s bullet train dreams
Like every new innovative developing field india aspires to embark upon ,criticism is a must from a segment of pessimistics. Starting from the telecm revolution to the India’s ambitious moon and inter planetary missions ,it all has been criticised for india still being a poot country.
History proves that how these efforts enhanced the lives of the poorest of the poor citizen of india.Without Telecom revolution pioneered by Rajiv Gandhi , one cannot think the idea of new india. Same has been with the bullet train dream of India.
Prime minister Narendra Modi along with his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe laid the foundation stone of India’s first high-speed bullet train project on Thursday. The total capital requirement is approximately 1.10 lakh crore in which around 85 percent of the funding is being provided by Japan as a soft loan to be repaid in 50 years. The project will shorten the travelling time of 508 KM distance from Ahmedabad to Mumbai from 8 hours to 2 hours . The high speed corridor involves train route not only on elevated corridor but also under sea tunnel.
The project has a targeted time frame to be completed on August 2022 on the occasion of India’s 75th years of independence celebration.
Important achievements for India on successful completion of the project would not only be a robust medium of transport but also it would creat a lot of jobs directly and indirectly. The ‘Make in India’ project will get a boost as the part and machinery will be manufactured in India under this program. Hoping with the project India’s prosperity and development may embark on a splendid journey.
