Is Diwali for everyone or for just the People with Money?

Not only the festival of lights but it is the festival of emotions. Every year we see celebrities posting selfies and attending Parties, but it doesn’t mean that Diwali is the festival of people with money only. It is really important how we can turn one’s sorrow into happiness, poor people are far away from having luxurious things and joy in life. Diwali is incomplete without making people happy and bringing a smile on their face. Diwali can be for every person who wishes to celebrate it irrespective of measuring things in monetary terms. There are many ways in which Diwali can be made special for people –

• Be Like Santa Claus to them –

Sharing is always caring, we can bring a smile on their face by gifting them a share of our happiness. Gift them some clothes, sweets, and necessities that can make the festival of lights special for them. Spend some part of your day with people who cannot afford and do not have the resources to feel like Diwali.

• Go and Worship Together-

Another way to make them feel special and awesome is to worship along with poor people.  Take them together to worship in the temple or take them somewhere where they can enjoy the proper Diwali traditions.

• Distribute Some Sweets-

Diwali is incomplete without distributing sweets, the best way to make Diwali a special festival for everyone is by making them taste the sweetness of the festival. Distribute them some ladoo’s or chocolates and make this festival of lights special for them as well.

• Purchase Things from Poor Sellers-

Rather than purchasing things from famous stores/malls, this Diwali give a moment of joy to  poor sellers. Do purchase some things from them that would help them to earn and enjoy this Diwali. Because it is worth taking blessings from every person and being a part of their little bundle of happiness.

• Spend Some Time in Old Age Home’s-

People in Old Age Homes are always forbidden from celebrating all the special festivals. The best way to make Diwali special for them is to celebrate them with old people and take their blessing and learnings of life.
