Price Hikes in Telecom Companies are Creating a Hierarchy for the Users

IUC Charges- Have you heard that news, the price hikes for Telecom Operating Companies? Yes, it’s true. This news has created a lot of impact on the different telecom companies users. As one of the leading telecom companies are bringing new plans with price hike before the New Year. Basically, the price hike is made just because of IUC Changes.

Before going further, let you know, What is IUC?
Usually, IUC means Interconnect Usage Charge, which is a cost paid by one telecom operator to another telecom operator. It is a charge when a customer makes an outgoing call to the other operator user. Such kind of calls is also known as Mobile off-net calls.

In the open house meeting by TRAI, the majority supported for ending up the IUC charges of 6 paise, excepting, Airtel and Voda-Idea. There were 155 people who attended the discussion, which included the consumers from the Nation. In this, the discussion was also made for postponing to introduce the Bill & Keep Regime, whether on January 1, 2020, or not.

Reliance-Jio

Now, Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance-Jio is in the limelight, after they made a big announcement. The announcement was on the hike of companies’ tariffs in a few weeks. Reliance-Jio group planned to launch New All-In-One plans, having unlimited voice and internet. According to them, These plans will be having a proportionate usage policy for calling to the other telecom networks. These plans will be there for the consumers from the 6th of December, 2019.

A few days back, in the month of October, Jio introduced new All-In-One plans of Rs 222, Rs 333, Rs 444 and Rs 555. The company has put these plans in an ‘unlimited plans with all services in a single plan’ section. These plans will be helpful for the users, who are confused with the companies plans and the pricing list.

Therefore, the company said, these plans are higher only up to 40%, as the company is creating a belief in its promise “Customer-First”.

Airtel

IUC Charges- Airtel, one of the leading telecom operator company in the Country, also increased the prepaid plan prices by introducing revised plans which are now available for the subscribers.

The company says the new plans range will be from 50 paise/day to Rs 2.85/day, assuring general data and calling benefits as well. All the above these benefits there will be more than that. Like, Airtel Thanks Platform, it enables to access premium content from Airtel Xstream, Wynk Music, Device Protection, Anti-Virus Protection and many more. The new plans range from Rs 19 to Rs 2398. The company has kept the FUP limited for Unlimited calling through Airtel to others. FUP Limit for 1000off-net minutes – 28 days, 3000off-net minutes – 84 days, 1200 minutes – 365 days, with unlimited plans changing at 6 paise per minute.

Vodafone Idea

IUC Charges-

IUC Charges- Same as Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea has also made changes for its prepaid plans. The company’s new prepaid tariffs range from Rs 19 to Rs 2,399. Rs 19 plan gives you two days validity with Unlimited calls, 150MB data, and 100 SMSs, Rs 49 plan will be having validity for 28 days with a Talktime of Rs 38 and 100MB Data, Rs 379 pack is for 84 days validity with unlimited voice call with 6GB Data and 1000 SMS, Where the highest plan price is worth Rs 2,399 which offers unlimited voice calling with 12000 FUP Limit, 1.5GB Per Day, 100 SMSs Per Day, this is valid for 365 days.
