Indigo is all set to launch daily non-stop flights to Goa and Pune from Lucknow , being the first airline to do so in these routes. The flights are scheduled to start from next month onwards. Indigo said in a statement “With the introduction of flight services on these two sectors, IndiGo’s average daily departures will now be 25 flights out of Lucknow to 13 destinations .”
The fare of these flights are set to start from 3,999 onwards with all inclusive fares.Indigo says the new flights are set to get more business and garner the leisure travelers who are constantly on the lookout for new and affordable flying options.These direct flights will provide enhanced connectivity between the capital of Uttar Pradesh and other key cities.
Due to the increased fuel prices , domestic airfare has seen a slow growth of 16.53% as per a data registered by DGCA. By introducing the direct flights , Indigo is expecting to see a steady boost in business as the tourist season approaches with the summer vacations.
According to a report , Indigo is set to begin flight services from Surat as well . They have reportedly submitted an application to the Airports Authority Of India for space allotment at the Surat Airport and starting the recruitment for handling the flight operations in the month of August.
