The previous captain MS Dhoni is back in the overlay for T20 internationals as the former skipper has a name in the squad for the T20 international Series arrangement against New Zealand. India will venture out to New Zealand in the wake of completing their assignments in Australia. Dhoni was not part of the T20I team that played against West Indies and Australia.
Dhoni’s arrival comes as an amazement since he was dropped from the T20s against Australia just a month ago. The reason referred to by the selectors around then was that they were searching for a second wicketkeeper in the arrangement
However, explaining the 37-year-old’s determination, a BCCI official, on states of secrecy, told, “Since there are just eight ODIs. Selectors need to give MS however much amusement time as could reasonably expect before the World Cup. Three T20Is implies 11 international matches through the following multi-month.”
In the ODI squad, the 21-year-old Pant’s hacking out is the main change that the selectors have made. However, selectors give a place in the ODI’s which will be in November. Dhoni did not have a decent excursion against England, and accordingly, Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik have given a chance against the Windies and the Aussies. It will be good to watch MS Dhoni on the field
