The government said that the British government had informed India that Nirav Modi had been located. He is living in the United Kingdom. Answering to an inquiry on Nirav Modi in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for External Affairs VK Singh Said that the National Central Bureau of Manchester notify India that their inspection has prompted the area of Nirav Modi in the UK.
