Pay with your thumb by Aadhaar-linked BHIM App: Digital India
On the occasion of the 126th birth anniversary of Babasaheb Ambedkar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Aadhaar Linked BHIM App. He attended a gathering at local sports complex Nagpur. PM Modi introduced the new app to the nation.
He said the country is now close to that stage where mobile phones will play an important role in financial decisions.
BHIM-App’s success is world known and the new initiative will tighten up things against black money and corruption. New Aaadhar linked app will ease the digital payments system. It is also more secure than the previous version.
Prime Minister also launched two new Cashback and Referral bonus incentive schemes for BHIM app users.
The BHIM-Aadhaar app will change the way for making digital payments using the Aadhaar platform. This will enable every Indian citizen to pay digitally using their biometric data like a thumb imprint on a merchants’ biometric-enabled device which could be smartphone connected with a biometric reader.
Now any citizen can use digital payments without a need of debit or credit cards, the internet, and smartphone.
