Chinese apps: Escalating tension between the two nations has undoubtedly shaken the tech market of China. Along with it making them vulnerable to the entire Indian population. This ban 2.0 will surely hit the economy of the nation. Since Indians are significant consumers of Chinese products, be it physical goods or virtual technology.

Imitating the past action, The Ministry of Information And Technology has imposed a ban on other 118 Chinese apps along with PUBG that has a crazy fanbase in India.

The first ban imposed on 59 Chinese apps, which took place early this year, was the first retaliatory step taken against the Chinese Government. Since situations are escalating to turn worse, this ban 2.0 has been introduced, keeping national security in mind.

Impact of this sudden app ban on both the nations

On China

Data reveals that the Indian population makes approximately 30-40% of the total consumer count of all the Chinese products. Especially the apps, which is undoubtedly making a large number. This ban will significantly impact the economy of the nation, hampering the nation’s revenue in this period of crisis.

This digital war will lead to a non-recoverable situation disturbing the technological growth of China.

On India

This ban is a befitting reply to the Chinese Government, whose series of actions has lead to worsening the situation at the border.

Gaming apps like PUBG, content creating apps like TikTok, and more had a great hold over Indian youth. This ban 2.0 will surely give them enough time to think and work for their future rather than spending endless hours on screen.

The Indian data that was breached by the Chinese Government through these apps will be brought to hold. And this decision will help in keeping the nation’s security and sovereignty intact.
