Emmy Awards are American awards that applaud the work in the television industry all over the world and are often compared as ‘Oscars-for-Television’. This year it will be its 71st edition and will be held on 23rd September at Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles in the United States.

Anurag Kashyap, broke the news of EMMY Awards Nominations 2019 to people in India on his social media handles. He was overjoyed by these nominations as he directed Lust Stories and also parts of Sacred Games.

Just few days back, the Bollywood director was once again on the International platform when ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ was included in the ‘Guardian’s list of 100 best films of 21st century’ at the 59th position. Gangs of Wasseypur which was released in 2012 was directed by Anurag Kashyap and was a path-breaking movie for many actors like Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Pankaj Tripathi, Huma Qureshi and so many more who credit their heights in Bollywood today to Gangs of Wasseypur and its director Anurag Kashyap.
