Ranbeer Kapoor First Lose and then Gained Weight for Sanju
“Sanju” has been the talk of the town ever since its poster and the teaser trailer has been out. Ranbir Kapoor is all set to play the role of Sanjay Dutt in his biopic Sanju directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The movie has garnered the nation’s interest with fans eagerly awaiting the movie.
Starting the trend to put on weight for his movie Daangal, Aamir Khan proved his passion towards on-screen portrayal of roles. Ranbir Kapoor has followed lead on the same and put on 13 Kgs muscle to portray the role of Sanjay Dutt.
How Ranbir Kapoor lose and gained weight for Sanju?
In a statement by his fitness trainer ““He has gained more than 13 kg now which is all muscle and no fat. His waistline has gone down by an inch and he has been losing fat while building up muscle. Ranbir has an hour-and-a-half of intense workout sessions. It is a big challenge to bulk up Ranbir like Sanjay, but the trainer did a wonderful job. He even wakes up at 3 am, has a protein shake and goes back to sleep,” said Kunal Gir, the fitness trainer.”

This is the first time Ranbir is gearing up for a completely different look for the film.In his own words he stated “It has been an inspiring journey for me to be playing Sanjay Dutt for the silver screen. I have never put on so much weight before and now plan to reduce some weight for the next phase of shooting”. Ranbir is currently shooting for the multi-starrer “Bramhastra” co starring Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt and Ayan Mukerjee.
It is yet to see how the Film “Sanju” will fare at the box office. The movie is all set to release on 29th June.
