Ranbir Kapoor’s reply to Salman for saying Dutt should play himself in Sanju

Bollywood sensation Ranbir Kapoor is busy making headlines these days with his all new avatar for his upcoming role in the movie “Sanju” which is a biopic on Sanjay Dutt. The trailer of the movie is already released and has been received extremely well by the audience. People are shocked to see the stark similarities between Ranbir Kapoor and yesteryear’s actor Sanjay Dutt. Going by the trailer, there could be no other face in Bollywood who would do justice to this role.

Sanju is Biopic Movie on Bollywood Actor Sanjay Dutt

Like usual Bollywood stuff even Ranbir Kapoor has received some flak for his portrayal of Sanjay Dutt. Salman Khan said that Sanjay Dutt should have played himself during Race 3 Promotion. According to Khan, no one can do justice to the last 8-10 years of Dutt’s life more than himself. To this Ranbir surely had a befitting reply that an actor playing his own role in a biopic destroys the entire essence of the character. He also stated that it has never happened in a biopic when a person has played his own character. Ranbir also clarified on the fact that he was aware of the fact that he would surely be compared to Sanjay Dutt and that was the reason the actor has put in all his best efforts to do complete justice to the role.

Trailer of the film is already extremely viral and is definitely the talk of the town. There are instances in the trailer where there is an uncanny resemblance of Ranbir Kapoor to Sanjay Dutt. Most people feel just the opposite of what Salman has said about Ranbir. Many Bollywood actors along with the family members of Sanjay Dutt have shown their appreciation and praise for the efforts Ranbir has put in for the film. Directed by noteworthy director Rajkumar Hirani, the film has garnered the attention of the masses.

How Sanjay Dutt reacted when he saw Ranbir as himself

Sanjay Dutt also went on to praise Ranbir Kapoor in front of the media for the fantastic job. Sister Priya Dutt feels that there is no one who could manage to replicate her brother. But at the same time, she loved the portrayal of Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt in the movie.

The movie is about the life of Sanjay Dutt from his early stint in Bollywood to the present times. It also throws light on the dark phases of Dutt’s life that included his drug addiction phase along with his involvement in the 1993 Bombay Blast Case.

Irrespective of Salman’s comment, the film certainly looks positive and the trailer has already made waves in the cinema world.

Along with Ranbir Kapoor the movie casts a host of other actors like Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal and Karishma Tanna. The official release of the film is on June 29.
