Every year the Republic Day celebrations use to begin from the 24th of January but this year the date has changed to 23rd January including the birth anniversary of a great freedom fighter Netaji Subash Chandra Bose.

History Of This Day
After India attained freedom on 15th August 1947, the first move to construct the constitution of India came into action on 27th August 1947. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar appointed the chairman of the committee set up to structure the constitution. The first draft of the constitution was completed and presented on November 4, 1947. But it took a total of 11 sessions to finally form a well-defined framework for the working of Indian laws and systems smoothly.
After the creation of the Constitution of India it was signed by 308 members of the assembly on 24th January 1950. The adoption and amendment of the constitution proceeded two days later i.e 26th January 1950.
