Rs 100 coin Released in India in the Memory of Atal Bihari Vajpayee

The day before the 94th birth anniversary of the former Prime Minister of the country has released the Rs 100 coin. According to the reports, the coin was released in the loving memory of the most loved and respected Prime Minister of our country. Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a person with a golden heart for all the sections of the society.

At the time of releasing the coin, The PM qouted,

“The mind is not ready to believe that Atal Ji is no longer with us. He was a stalwart loved and respected across all sections of society.”

“As a speaker, he was unparalleled. He is among the best orators our nation has produced,” PM Modi also said. “The party which Atal ji built has become among the largest political parties. Generations of Karyakartas were fortunate to be mentored by him.”

The event of releasing the coin was marked by the honorable presence of, Sumitra Mahajan the speaker of Lok Sabha,  Arun Jaitley Finance Minister, Mahesh Sharma Minister of State for Culture ,  Amit Shah BJP national president and BJP leader veteran  and  LK Advani Vajpayee’s contemporary.

Features of Rs 100 Coin

On one of the side of the coin, it has the emblem of India. Below the Lion Capital of Ashoka Pillar, Satyamev Jayate, Bharat is inscribed in Devanagri script and India written in Roman Script.

On the other side of the coin is Atal Ji’s picture and below that 1924 and 2018 are inscribed. These years mark the birth and death of the former Prime Minister of India.

PM Narendra Modi also said,

Vajpayee “never compromised ” on the BJP’s ideology and was not hungry for power”.

“For some people, power is oxygen… they can’t live without it. A long part of Atal Ji’s career was spent in the opposition benches but he spoke about national interest and never compromised on the ideology of the party.”
