Thailand to Legalize Medical Marijuana

Bangkok has Finally agreed to make some changes in the legal uses of the drug in the country. Recently, the Thailand legislature has allowed the medical use of the drug plant, “Marijuana“. The government has also legalised, Kratom. It is a local plant growing, which is used for the painkiller.

With this new law, Thailand has become the first ever country in South-East Asia to make use of Marijuana in medicine to cure some diseases. It was also found out, that before even this law was released there were some patients who used Marijuana to cure themselves.

This is a news of surprise as earlier in the same country, Marijuana’s use was banned and considered illegal with imprisonment and also fine of the same. Although, the patients require a prescription to buy this and the sellers require a legal license.

In the starting of this month, the same news has taken place in New Zealand legalizing the medical use of Marijuana.

This law was made into action after National Legislative Assembly received of 166-0 with 13 abstentions.

What is Marijuana??

Marijuana is a drug which is still illegal in many parts of the world. This is known to be a psychoactive drug which is used by people for recreational purposes. This drug is from the Cannabis plant.

Effects of Drug on Human Body

Some of the most common problems associated with the intake of this drug Marijuana is memory impairment, impaired judgement, increased or decreased anxiety issues, burning mouth, excessive thirst for water, trouble for the developing brain and many more.

Diseases this Drug can Cure

Though, being an illegal drug, Marijuana also has some of the Medicinal uses of its own. Some the diseases for which medicine of Marijuana is prescribed are Multiple Sclerosis, Spinal Cord Injury, Spinal Cord Disease, Cancer, HIV/AIDS, and many others.
