India was colonized by the Britishers back in the 1800s, and the struggle of independence was a moment of history for all Indians. After India broke free of the shackles of the United Kingdom on the significant day of 15th August 1945. We didn’t have a written constitution then, and the constitution drafting became a major job during those years. The drafting committee headed by B.R. Ambedkar began to work on the constitution-writing process, and the first draft was submitted on November 4th, 1947. Following that, the national assembly signed the versions of the constitution on January 24th, 1950. The prestigious day when the Indian constitution came into effect was on the 26th of January, 1950. this gave the Indians a new power to govern themselves, and Rajendra Prasad Ji was vowed as the first President. He hoisted the flag and then started India as an independent nation. Hence this day holds immense revere and respect in the heart of Indians.
