Gautam Gambhir Faces Accusation Of Fraud

Former cricketer of the Indian cricket team is facing trouble due to the allegation made against him by buyers in Ghaziabad. The Delhi court has issued a bailable warrant against Gautam Gambhir on Wednesday for not appearing in the court. 17 buyers have filed a complaint stating that there has been a fraud of around 1.98 crores for pre-booking of flats in a housing project at Ghaziabad’s Indirapuram area in 2011, but due to some problems, the housing project didn’t take off.

The reason this former cricketer is facing trouble is that he is both the brand ambassador and director of this joint project of Rudra Buildwell Reality Pvt Ltd and H R Infracity Pvt Ltd.

Court’s reaction

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Manish Khurana said “Considering the fact that accused Gautam Gambhir has not appeared in this case repeatedly despite dismissal of his exemption application on the last date of hearing. A bailable warrant of Rs 10,000 is being issued against him,” .Nowadays customers are aware about their rights and everyday hundreds of consumers are filing such cases to bring justice for their own self.

Due to this bailable offence, Gauti the former opener of India will have to appear in the court for next hearing and he’ll have to provide Rs 10,000 as security. The court has given the date of 24th January for further hearing.

This incident will deliver a lesson to all those people out there who think of cheating the customers. This is not the only case which is in the limelight. There are hundreds of fake brands and services present in India. The consumer should be aware of his/her rights. This case of fraud is a classic case of a celebrity who is facing the court’s trial due to  unauthorized and negligent actions. Celebrities like Madhuri Dixit Nene and the Shehanshah of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan had also faced such problems due to Nestle noodles brand Maggie. Both were the brand ambassador of Maggie.

Career

Gautam Gambhir is known for his ethics, high standards and charity acts. Unfortunately, in this case, he appears to be guilty by not being present at the Day of Judgment.  This act of Gambhir Gambhir shows his disrespect towards the judiciary of India and his irresponsible behavior towards people. Gautam Gambhir is one of the finest openers that India has witnessed. People will remember him for his outstanding performance in finals of World Cup 2007 and 2011 ODI World Cup. He was also the top scorer for India in the final of 2011 World Cup.

Gauti recently announced his retirement. After playing his last Ranji Trophy against Andhra he played 58 test matches, 147 ODI’s and 37 T 20’s. He scored 4154, 5238 and 932 runs respectively in all three formats. We hope he comes out of the fraud cases and proves his innocence.
