The story of Patna Groom who died of COVID

Patna Groom Died: As we all know that nowadays situations are not under control. It is due to the spread of the pandemic disease coronavirus. this has started from Wuhan, China and, spreads all over the world. The fact about COVID-19 is that it is transmitted from one person to another not, from any mosquito bites. When it started to spread all over the world specially India, our Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi started Lockdown in India. So, to maintain social distance Lockdown plays a major role.

Our main point to share this is to tell you about the story of Patna groom who was getting married but, unfortunately, came in contact with this virus recently on 15 June. there was 111 guest who attended the wedding ceremony also test positive in Patna. The 30-year-old groom was a software engineer in Gurugram.

After the district administration in Patna was given information about the death of the groom, his close relatives were also tested. It happened at a village in Paliganj, 50km from Patna. Many relatives who attended were tested positive. The Patna administration could test the Patna groom for COVID-19 as his family cremated him without informing the authority. According to a police inquiry, the deceased groom returned to his village deehpali on May 12 for his wedding.

After two days of the wedding, his health got deteriorated and he died as he was taken to All India Institute Of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Patna. The district administration thereafter conducted a test for everyone who attended the wedding out of which 111 people tested positive but the bride was tested negative. Social distancing norms were not being followed by the family as it was allowed only 50 members to attend any wedding ceremony. there were around 400 people who attended the wedding. As the groom was not feeling well, his family forced him to take medicines and continue with the wedding ceremony. One of the relatives of the deceased groom told that:-

EVEN THOUGH HE WAS FEELING UNWELL BY JUNE 14 AND WANTED THE WEDDING DEFERRED, FAMILY HEADS FROM BOTH SIDES ADVISED AGAINST IT, CITING HUGE FINANCIAL LOSES IF THE ARRANGEMENTS HAD TO BE CANCELLED”.

Paliganj block development officer Chiranjeev Pandey said:-
