Over Thousands of People Evacuated in Odisha as Cyclone Phethai Hits Andhra
Cyclone Phethai caused Chaos in Andhra Pradesh
The landslide in Andhra Pradesh caused by the Cyclone Phethai has created a havoc among the people. As many as 11,000 and more people are being evacuated to Odisha to relief camps and secure places.
The landslide was caused on Monday afternoon and has already claimed two lives. The calamity is hitting with the gushing wind speed of 85-90 Km per Hour. This has also resulted in the uprooting of trees, poles in Katrenikona, Tallarevu and Malkipuram.
According to the latest reports by the IMD, heavy rainfall is predicted in districts such as Koraput, Gajapati and Rayagada. The continuous announcements and alerts are being made for the farmers to take all the measures in advance to prevent damage to their crops from the cyclone Phethai.
