In today’s world medical science and technology has reached new heights. Recently, a unborn baby was taken out of mother’s women and underwent a surgery. After that, he was again placed back in the womb successfully. This kind of surgery has been one of its kind.
The 26-year-old mother and her husband, Kieron were informed by the doctor in UK that their child was suffering from a disease called, Spina Bifida. The first option they were given was, the terminate the baby.
For parents, it is next to impossible to drop their child. Hence, they went on to consult more doctors. Finally, Ms Simpson became one of few mothers to get treated in this manner by expert doctors from Belgian and UK.
The mother after the operation said;
“We were a success. Her lesion was small and she smashed surgery like you wouldn’t believe. I’m fragile and sore but as long as she is doing fine that’s all we care about.”
“Sadly, 80% of babies in England are terminated when their parents get told their baby has this condition. It’s not a death sentence. She has the same potential as every one of u.”
“Yes, there are risks of things going wrong but please think more about spina bifida, it’s not what it used to be.”
“I feel our baby kick me day in and day out, that’s never changed. She’s extra special, she’s part of history and our daughter has shown just how much she deserves this life.”
