The impulsive mix of star cast has been lately announced by the emperor of Bollywood and the maker and builder of the Dharma Productions, Mr Karan Johar, for the movie TAKHT have created a huge buzz amongst the fans. Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Bhumi Pednekar are the key highlights representing the film. But, the casting of Kareena Kapoor in the film has made the audience a little curious. That how did all the agreement happen between Kareena and the maker of a Ranveer-Singh-associated-movie?
The movie revolves around the period of the Mughal empire when the throne was under Shahjahan’s reign. And Anil Kapoor is going to play the role of Shahjahan. Furthermore, Ranveer Singh portrayed as Dara Sikoh and Alia Bhatt as his wife, Begum Nadira Banu. Vicky Kaushal is getting a bright sided limelight by playing the wholesome role of Aurangzeb. Where Bhumi Pednekar is playing as his wife, Dilras Banu Begum. And Kareena Kapoor will essay the role of Jahanara, the daughter of King Shahjahan. The whole story is a picturised war based on the concept of the power of the throne.
Kareena rejected Ranveer for 3 Blockbusters
Choti Begum Kareena Kapoor Khan was first offered the epic film ‘Goliyon Ki Raas Leela, Ram – Leela’, director Mr Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The amazing chemistry you saw between Ranveer Singh and actress Deepika Padukone wouldn’t have been possible with the rejection.
Then came up a second chance with the same director and the same team. But now with a period film concept offered Bebo the role of Mastaani as the Rajkumari of Bundelkhand. But, not- working- with- Ranveer- Singh pact or not- working- under- Bhansali- Productions is the only thing which restricted Mr Bhansali for getting a YES from this Bollywood Diva. Therefore, she rejected the offer again.
The third rejection came for the movie ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’. With a huge loaded bunch of superstars in the film including Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh etc., this film also didn’t appeal Kareena. Now the news about not working with Ranveer Singh became concrete. And a cold war came up between Ranveer and Kareena. They were hardly found hanging out with each other or meeting up a parting. If invited they just liked to give a pass to each other.
No ‘No’ to K-Jo
Kareena and Karan Johar are found to be the best besties in Bollywood. The talk show “Koffee with Karan” corroborates the fact that Bebo and KJo find them comfortable enough to tease, ridicule, love and even expose some embarrassing incidents of each other. This bond could have been the reason that KJo’s upcoming directorial film ‘Takht’ has made it possible to cast Kareena into yet another ‘Ranveer- associated- movie’.
It is the charm and the Bollywood fraternity policies that make KJo cast those people who had a controversial time earlier. Whether it be Ranbir-Deepika, Ranveer-Kareena or Sanjay Dutt- Madhuri Dixit in his upcoming film ‘Kalank’, Karan never goes rejected.
