Disney Interactive Studios: This pandemic Covid-19 has brought life to a standstill. It is just like, a happening never imagined of. The life has become restricted to quarantine, to lockdown, to social distancing. But when we watch the other side, this global lockdown has given great suffering and a great economic setback. Since everything has come to a standby mode the entertainment industries are suffering as well.
Since the theatres, malls, cinema halls all are closed both Hollywood and Bollywood releases have been stopped. The most in-demand entertainment industries Disney Interactive Studios, Sony and Pixar movies are suffering from this pandemic as well, many movies that were about to release by these studios have come to a hold. Release postponed due to COVID-19
Disney Interactive Studios
Due to the attack of pandemic Covid-19, the Disney studios have brought hold to the various movie release. Movies like Mulan, The New Mutants, Antlers, Indiana Jones, and Black Widow. Initially, Black Widow was about to release this May and was not to be postponed but after shutting of theatres, malls, and cinema halls the release had to be brought at hold.
Pixar Studios
Pixar movies had planned for the release of Soul in June. But due to this random lockdown and corona scare, the release of the movie is postponed and is planned for the month of November. On the postponement of Soul, the release of the animated movies i.e. Raya and Last Dragon has been postponed from November to March of 2021.

Sony Entertainment
Sony entertainment recently announced the postponed release of Spider-Man, Third in the Tom Holland series, Kevin Hart’s Fatherhood, Jared Leto’s Morbius, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Uncharted and Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway. The early release of Spiderman was supposed to happen in July has been postponed to November.
Other releases brought to hold
- Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness a sequel of 2016 Benedict’s Cumberbatch film from Marvel Studios has been postponed from November 2021 to March 2022.
- Thor: The love and thunder are postponed to February 2022.
- Warner Bros announced the release shift of The Batman from June to October this year.
- The Many Saints of Newark delayed from September 2020 to March 2021.
- Wonder woman’s 1984 release has been shifted from June 5 to August 14.
- MGM announced the postponed release of No Time to Die to late November which was earlier scheduled for March.
- Sonic hedgehog from the house of Paramount Pictures has been delayed but the postponed date has yet not been released.
- Universal Pictures announced the delay of the release of Fast and Furious 9 from May 2021 to April 2022.
