Indian cricketers take on social media to criticize Imran Khan for his speech at UNGA

This is not the first time that Indian cricketers have come together on social media to fight any mutual threat. Recently, Imran Khan’s speech at UNGA created an atmosphere of hatred in the country. His hate speech was reiterated by Indian Cricketers and several other Bollywood stars.

In response to his speech, Mohammad Shami wrote on his twitter handle, Describing the importance of love and harmony, he also gave an example of  Mahatma Gandhi, that he always supported non-violence and peace. He criticized Pakistan for supporting war and destruction.

In his speech at UNGA, Imran Khan said that, “If a conventional war starts between the two countries, anything could happen. A country seven times smaller than its neighbor what will it do, either surrender or fight for its freedom.”

On the other hand, Harbhajan Singh also took social media to share his response. He spoke about the words used by Imran Khan in his speech ‘bloodbath’ and ‘fight till the end’. He criticized his for using such words and also said that being a sportsperson one should only spread peace and harmony. 

Imran Khan further added that “My belief is that we will fight and when a nuclear-armed country fights till the end, it will consequence far beyond the borders. I am warning you. It’s not a threat but worries about where are we heading. If this goes wrong, you hope for the best but prepare for the worst”.

Former in Indian Batsman, Mohammad Azharuddin also tweeted against his speech, saying that it was not expected to hear such words from a sportsperson.
