You must have heard about the Madame Tussauds Museum. Now you can get a chance to see this great museum of the world in Delhi too.

The Madame Tussauds is a museum of wax statues located on Marylebone Road in London. The museum was started in 1835 by wax craftsman Mary Tussauds.

Marie Tussauds was one of the best artists in France. London-based Madame Tussauds is a unique place in the Museum World. Wax effigies of many famous celebrities of the world have been kept here. The Madame Tussauds Museum has more than 400 celebrity idols, which upon seeing it seems as if you are standing in front of yourself, not a celebrity idol.

Now Madame Tussauds in Delhi

Apart from London, Madame Tussauds is located in Amsterdam, New York, Hong Kong, Shanghai, etc. But now the Madame Tussauds Museum has opened in Delhi as well. Yes, Madame Tussauds, which attracted people from all over the world for wax sculptures, has now opened in India as well. The museum has opened in Connaught Place, New Delhi, the country’s capital.
 
Madame Tussauds Museum in Delhi has wax figures of many stars including Bollywood and Hollywood. If you too want to take a selfie with Amitabh Bachchan, PM Narendra Modi, Sachin Tendulkar or Lady Gaga, then your wait is over.

Seven volume museum

The historic Regal building at Connaught Place in Delhi houses Madame Tussauds. It is the 23rd and the newest edition of the Madame Tussauds series. The museum is divided into seven volumes, containing waxed mannequins of 51 celebrities from history, sports, music, film and the political world.

These include wax mannequins of Salman Khan, Tom Cruise, Raj Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Shahid Kapoor etc. and in one section tells the history of Madame Tussauds to the visitor… which tells how the wax mannequin was made… A 20-minute film is shown in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi narrates his experiences of making his wax statue.

In the sports section, Mary Kom, David Beckham, Milkha Singh, and Usain Bolt as well as Indian cricketers Kapil Dev and Sachin Tendulkar.
 
In the history section, there are wax figures of Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Sardar Patel, APJ Abdul Kalam, and Modi.

How to go

If you live anywhere in Delhi, then it is easy to come here from Rajiv Chowk metro station and you can exit from the Regal cinema gate and reach it in 5 minutes. Along with the museum, you can also enjoy shopping at Connaught Place here.
