Celebrities Who Died in 2020: The year 2020 has been an atrocious one. The sky of bollywood has lost a number of appealing and sparkling stars within 6 months. There is trauma and a state of revulsion in the whole country. Every Indian has felt this loss as their personal. Unfortunately no one can ever fill the void and space of these celebrities. One by one the country faced enormous loss within 6 months. They have departed to heaven and all their deeds and works will be remembered and cherished for ages. With remarkable works in films, they had given a new spice in the bollywood. Tons of people including actors had poured their hearts with these deaths because these losses are the real.

Irffan Khan ( January 1967 – April 2020)

 “Pack a pillow and a blanket and see as much of the world as you can. You will not regret it. One day it will be too late”- Irfan khan (Namesake 2016). One of the finest actors, also the Padma Shri, who had not just worked in bollywood but also Hollywood, left us on 29 March. His commendable works include Blackmail, Qarib Qarib Single, Life of Pi, Hindi Medium, Lunchbox, Paan Singh Tomar and many others. He possessed an intellectual mind and vision which can be seen in his various interview. His angle of observing, understanding and analyzing things was something to learn. His death has given shaken whole country. He and his works will be revered forever.

Rishi Kapoor ( September 1952 – April 2020)

Beloved Chintu uncle, another legend lost from the garden of bollywood this year is Rishi Kapoor at the age of 67. He has given almost 50 years of his life to bollywood. The first debut film he did was as a child actor in ‘Mera naam Joker’. The devastating news of his death made every one cry. He has always had a lively personality. Throughout his career he won a number of awards for his admirable roles and acting. Amongst his all the beautiful dialogues, the one which is felt so closely to his death is from movie Love Aaj Kal, “jaane se pehle, ek baar milna kyu jruri hota hai” ( why is it necessary to meet for one last time before departing?). Amitabh Bachchan confirmed and disclosed about the death through his tweet:

“T 3571 – “He’s GONE .. ! Rishi Kapoor .. gone .. just passed away .. I am destroyed !”

Sushant Singh Rajpoot ( January 1986 – June 2020)

The young actor, full of energy and positivity, late and much lamented Sushant left the world too soon. He died at the age of 34 hanging himself in his room. Everyone was plunged into sorrow after hearing the news. It is believed and said that he was boycotted by various film stars who have created a monopoly in bollywood, not giving chance to outsiders. The heart wrenching news of his death carries a lot of emotional and personal feeling among the Indians. Beginning is career from a tv show, he made it through bollywood with his diligence and hard work. The AIEEE 7th rank holder struggled compassionately to achieve his dream and passion. The probe and investigation to seek out the reason for his suicide has been going on. The shockwaves still exist in the minds of people after his tragic death.

Wajid Khan ( March 1981 – June 2020)

The famous duo Sajid-Wajid broke off when at the age of 42 Wajid khan has left the world. This is another big loss to the bollywood industry. He was given music to a number of hit songs from films like Dabang, Wanted, Ek Tha Tiger and many others. He died because of multiple reasons since he was on ventilator because of the worsened medical conditions. The smiling face of Wajid Khan represented optimism in him. He judged Sa Re Ga Ma show along with Shekhar  Ravijani and Sona Mahapatra.

 Veteran actress known by her stage name Nimmi died at the age of 87. She was facing some medical conditions and was admitted in hospital. Doe eyed lady Nimmi, has been known for her amazing role as feisty village belle. She had gained a lot of popularity after her work in Aan film. Rarely any one knew her real name ‘Nawab Banno’. The unique expressions and known for her beauty she gave 16 years to acting industry and worked with Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand and many others. Her beauty is still adored by her fans.

Saroj Khan ( November 1948 – July 2020)

“I’m here because of Madhuri and Madhuri is here because of me”- Saroj Khan. The most talented choreographer of bollywood who has given platform and dance moves to the best dancer Madhuri Dixit passed away at the age of 71. The cardiac arrest has been a reason for her death. The winner of 3 times National Award for phenomenal and lovely choreographies, Khan departed the world on 3 July. Her dances moves and hook steps were very unique and creative. In total more than 2,000 songs have been in the list of her choreographies. Last song choreographed by her was for Madhuri Dixit in the film Kalank.

Jagdeep ( March 1939 – July 2020)

Most of his films were rom coms loved by the people. Choti Si Baat, Chameli Ki shaadi, Rajnigandha etc were some of his superhit films. He also made few of thrillers including Tumhare Liye, Chakravyuhh etc. In small budget he made amazing films casting big stars. His works will be cherished upon forever.
