Rising Star News: BARC India releases the data of television channel popularity every week and this week we saw a huge hit in popularity and viewership in singing reality shows on television. Colors TV new singing reality show Rising Star India has left behind the all-time popular show Indian Idol on Sony, Dil Hai Hindustani on Star Plus and Voice of India.

According to data released by BARC, the show Rising has opened impression of 4993. India’s first singing reality show with live voting is a unique start of active viewer participation in any talent show in India. Rising Star India, however, is not among the Top 10 shows but BARC declared it a success opening hit.

The show, that has Judges like Diljit Dosanjh, Shankar Mahadevan, and Monali Thakur, is finding connect with the viewers, thanks to its LIVE voting format.

Meanwhile, it’s good news for Colors television that Rising Star India show just replaced Bigg Boss show and gaining way ahead popularity than Bigg Boss Show. Also giving very tough competition to other reality shows on Star Plus, Sony, and &tv.
