Do you remember the immensely popular crime drama series, Sacred Games? If you are a fan, then here’s something that can excite you. Netflix India announced the second season of their popular series on Friday.
“The worst is yet to come. Sacred Games will be back for Season 2,” a post from the official Twitter account of Netflix.
Though the teaser didn’t reveal much of the story or suspense, it surely indicated the return of Ganesh Gaitonde- the popular character played by Nawazuddin Siddique. The 45-minute teaser had everything to grasp the attention of the audience.
Sacred Games Part 2
It had many of its characters like Saif Ali Khan, Neeraj Kabi and Radhika Apte glimpse as well along with some of their punch lines. Everything including the title design for the second season is fresh and unique.
The first season had all its 8 episodes revolved around the death of the larger-than-life- gangster, Ganesh Gaitonde. Sartaj Singh- Saif Ali Khan’s character had his race against time against the possible terror attack on Mumbai. The main challenge was to solve the mystery in just 25 days. The death of gangster character left all the fans wondering about the possibilities of the next season.
There were many speculations from the fans about the second season. On one hand, some were predicting the plot to be around a nuclear attack while the others were quite wondered by the death of Gaitonde. Well, the coming episodes of the second season will surely answer all the possible questions of the fans.
The series, co-directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, received great appreciation from the audience along with the critics.
In some earlier interviews, Saif has also indicated towards the fact that Sartaj’s personal life would get explored further in the coming second season. He also gave the information that the team has planned another 4 seasons with 8 episodes each.
