On Saturday middle of the night, it was shared by Amitabh Bachchan on Twitter that he has been tested positive for COVID-19 and the other members of his family along with the house workers are also being tested for the same. The Bollywood icon, Amitabh Bachchan was immediately shifted to Nanavati Hospital after he showed mild symptoms of COVID-19. It was just a few hours later that his son, Abhishek Bachchan had also contracted the virus. Then finally on Sunday, three generations of Bachchan family including Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek and his daughter Aaradhya were tested +ve for Coronavirus along with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
As of now, both Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan are admitted in Nanavati hospital while the former Miss Universe, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter Aaradhya would be in home-quarantine. The COVID-19 test for Jaya Bachchan has come out to be negative. Since the time, Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek have informed his friends and family about contracting the pandemic virus, the social media is all flooding with the speedy recovery messages for the Bachchan family.
Bachchan Family: Amitabh, Abhishek, Aishwarya and Aaradhya Bachchan tested positive for Coronavirus
As soon as the news of three generations of Bachchan family came in light, immediate sanitization of the all the four bungalows owned by the Bachchans- Jalsa, Pratiksha, Janak and Vatsa has been done by the BMC.
At first it was just Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan who were tested positive for COVID-19 as the reports of Jaya, Aishwarya and Aaradhya had tested negative. However, later the new reports revealed that Aishwarya and Aaradhya has also contracted the virus. As soon as the news of Bachchan family getting infected by the virus came, Amitabh and Abhishek tweeted to inform all the people who had been near them in the last few days.
Amitabh Bachchan tweeted;
“I have tested positive COVID positive…shifted to hospital..informing authorities..family and staff undergone tests..results awaited. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested. “
Abhishek Bachchan tweeted;
“Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID-19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to the hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request you all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you.”
“Aishwarya and Aaradhya have also tested COVID-19 positive. They will be self quarantining at home. The BMC has been updated of their situation and are doing the needful.The rest of the family including my Mother have tested negative. Thank you all for your wishes and prayers.”

The team of doctors treating Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan has said that both of them are doing fine as they have mild symptoms and we hope for a speedy recovery very soon. Just when the Bachchan family being infected by COVID-19 since then, there has been a state of panic among the fans.
Just after Abhishek Bachchan has been tested positive, the whole team who was working with him in his latest Amazon Prime release “Breathe-into the shadows” is also being tested for the COVID-19.
Well, it is not just the Bachchan family who has come in contact with this harmful virus. yesterday, the veteran actor of Bollywood, Anupam Kher has reported that his mother and brother has also been tested +ve for COVID-19 while Anupam himself has been -ve for the test. The list does not end here, one of the staff members working at Rekha’s house is also tested positive of Coronavirus and since then her bungalow has been sealed. The household staff from the house of Amir Khan, Karan Johar and Boney Kapoor has also been tested positive for COVID-19.
